This website serves, and has
from its beginning, as a testimony and a written memorial, as well as documented
evidence
of the publishing and preaching of the True Gospel of Jesus Christ to all
nations of the earth by His end-time apostle, Mr. Herbert W Armstrong. This
website also serves as a witness and written
record that the writings and teachings contained herein are a memorial
(call to remembrance) of the
teachings of God’s end-time apostle, as given to Him by Jesus Christ, and are
hereby certified as valid and true in accordance with the Word of God, The Holy
Bible.
It is
in this context that the
Church of God website serves as a warning
to all of God’s people, that judgment on the “House of God” is almost over and
that time is running out for God’s people to return (repent) to that foundation
of truth (the “all things” of Matt. 17:11) which was
revealed and restored by Jesus Christ through His end-time chosen servant, and
to again live by that truth. It all begins with a call to remembrance, to remember
what we were taught from the beginning. (Mal. 3:16-1)
For years we have referred back
to Mal. 3:16, as it refers to those of us in the Body of Christ as “speaking
often one to another”.
However, what about the rest
of that verse, and the two verses that follow it?
In verse 16 it says (about
this group) that a “book of remembrance” was written before Him (Christ). It
does NOT say that He wrote (or is writing) it, it simply does not say who wrote
it. But the implication is that it is done by someone who “fears the Eternal”
and it is written BEFORE Him, in other words in His sight or presence. This
clearly shows it has to be where Christ is or where He is working. What is the
book about? He tells us! … It’s about REMEMBRANCE!
And WHO is this book for? Is
it for God? NO! It is FOR THEM who
fear the Eternal and think (meditate) on His name! So here is something being
written FOR this group of people who speak often one to another. Has something
been written or recorded or documented for us here at the end, and does it have
to do with remembering?
And notice WHEN this happens!
It happens just before verse 17, when
this very group is taken or “spared”
from something (great tribulation). There are at least two things to consider
here. One, this group is spared or protected from something, and two, this book
of remembrance (for them) is written apparently just before they are spared or
protected.
With the overwhelming evidence
presented on this Church of God website, and the documentation and message
contained therein, THIS WEBSITE itself may very well be that book (writing) of
REMEMBRANCE! If so, we have all the more
proof and promise from Christ specifically “who” exactly will be spared from
the great tribulation. In other words, those “accounted worthy to escape”. This
stands as a stark warning for the vast majority of God’s people, and for a few
it’s great encouragement!
